Sylvia Thorpe
Nata a Londra nel 1926, Sylvia Thorpe (pseudonimo di June Sylvia Thimblethorpe) ha scritto una trentina di romanzi ambientati nell'Inghilterra dei secoli passati. Romanzi ironici, sentimentali, appassionati, ricchi di avventure e colpi di scena, che le hanno valso una grandissima popolarità. Con "The Scapegrace" ("Quadriglia") ha vinto l'Elizabeth Goudge Historical Award.
